Mr. Dealing phoned to let us know that everyone arrived at Camp Shands in one piece. After spending the day at Juniper Springs, everyone is great and no visits to medical facility, yet.
He also said they have a fantastic campsite with new cots, new tents and new screen enclosures. Everything about the updated Camp Shands is wonderful!
Stay tuned for further updates as they come in.
The July 1st meeting will be at the Family Life Center across the street.
Due to the extensive wet weather experienced over the last 48 hours the Camporee is postponed. The dirt road to the site is impassable and lack of access to the property presents a health and safety risk to participants.
The camporee will be re-scheduled for a date in the fall. Fees paid for this weekend’s event will be held and applied for the rescheduled event.
Alex’s Eagle Ceremony scheduled for tomorrow (Sat. Nov 17th) is postponed. We will let you know as soon as we get it rescheduled.
Go to the Event Registration page to put your name on the list for any of the above events.

In preparation for our June Court of Honor please make sure that anything needing advancement paperwork or a trip to the Scout Shop gets passed on to Mr. Garner by Monday, June 6th. That means blue cards, award certifications, board of reviews, etc. Also make sure that all are completely filled.
Due to a low level of registrations the troop will not attend the Council Camporee.
Due to FCAT Exams, the Monday, April 11th meeting will end around 8p. Providing of course that the menus for the upcoming camping trip are wrapped up quickly.
This is to give our scouts plenty of opportunity for sleep and to prepare for their exams. Good luck boys!
At the March 28th meeting Mr. Walsh and some of our newest Scouts spent time discussing patrol name. We recently added a new document in the Downloads section that shows many options for patrol names and patches.
In the coming weeks you and your other patrol members will vote on a name and a patch. Head on over to the Downloads page and look under the Reference section. There you will find a document called Patrol Badges. Review this selection and pick out ten that you like.
Check It Out – The Downloads area recently received an overhaul. It now includes some new categories and a collection of new and updated documents (Applications, Blue Cards, Tour Plan, etc.).
