The project is to install blue street reflectors which indicate fire hydrant locations. Eleven neighborhoods around the Mandarin Rd., Loretto Rd. and Flynn Rd. areas benefit from this project. The project enables fire departments to easily find 60+ hydrants and create positive safety impact to nearly 700 homes.

CAMPING ADULTS NEEDED Due to new challenges within our core group, our adult volunteer resources are running thin. A number of camping trips are planned and adult leaders are needed. - USS ALABAMA TRIP CANCELLED - - ALTERNATE PLAN AVAILABLE TO THOSE INTERESTED -
There is a severe weather alert for Pensacola area. Current reports of sleet and snow. Schools are closed. Projections are for a mix of rain, turning to snow. Projected snowfall is as much as 3″. Black ice projected for several days after snowfall. Black ice is the trip-killer here as it is a major safety issue.
- ALTERNATE PLAN - We can do a day-trip on Saturday (which should be sunny and cool) to Olustee. We can walk around the encampment and watch the battle.
Email a YES or NO to troop110@gmail.com to let us know your interest in going to Olustee.
We need to know who is going OR NOT on the USS Alabama trip (Feb 13-15).
You must fill out the sign-up form by Sunday Feb. 7th. See the sign-up form earlier in the blog.
We’ve adjusted the departure date to Saturday morning. Meet at COOS at 6a and depart at 6:30a SHARP.
We will load the trailer Friday evening. Everyone bring their gear to the trailer on Friday between 6-7p.
The troop will camp Friday night only and return to COOS late-afternoon on Saturday.
Anticipated weather on Saturday afternoon may cause the obstacle course and repelling tower to close. This will adversely affect a number of our goals for the weekend.
A number of scouts need nights of camping for advancement. By staying just Friday night helps this cause. On Saturday we can still get some other requirements completed before returning to COOS.
ATTENTION – The Camp Blanding camping trip has been postponed.
The questionable weather will keep campers off the climbing tower and off a good portion of the training facilities. With those events being the major portion of activities for the weekend the troop leadership decided to postpone the trip to a later date. Stay tuned for a future trip to Camp Blanding.
