Troop 110 is NOT hosting a Parent Meeting on Sept. 29th.
You may have received an email announcing a Parent Meeting. The email was an error from another troop. They accidentally sent the agenda of their Parent Meeting to the wrong distribution list – some of us in Troop 110 are on that list.
However, the email did inspire Mr. Walsh to consider hosting a Parent Meeting for Troop 110. The possibility and specifics of our own Parent Meeting are being sorted out now. Stay tuned and we will let you know what comes of it…

A group of our scouts and scouters attended the 100th Anniversary of the Mandarin Store & Post Office. They hosted an informational booth to show off our troop, took part in a 4th of July style parade and earned some community service hours!
Head on over to the Photo Galleries page to see a few snaps of the day’s events.
Got Photos? Do you have photos from troop events that you want to share? Send an email to the Webmaster and we will figure out the best way to get them and post them to the website.
Oliver’s Eagle project is to place blue pavement markers in front of fire hydrants like Thomas C. did. He has a workday scheduled for July 9th and a backup planned for July 16th.
The project is in neighborhoods near the intersections of San Jose Blvd. / St. Augustine Rd.; St. Augustine Rd. / Dupont; and Old Kings Rd.
Please register for the event on the Calendar page so Oliver can plan properly. He needs at least three adult drivers and a couple people to bring their digital cameras. Also, if you have brightly colored safety vest(s) please bring them and let Oliver know.
The Mandarin Museum & Historical Society invited Troop 110 to be involved in their Centennial Celebration. This is an honor and a unique opportunity to promote our troop and highlight our community involvement.
Mr. Garner and Mr. Dreher are coordinating efforts for us to have a display table with information about our troop. Scout volunteers are needed to be in attendance to host the table and to lead a short July 4th Parade around the grounds.
In addition to the pride of representing our troop in the greater Mandarin area, each scout who attends will receive community service hours. Please use the Events Registration tool to sign-up to let us know if you can help represent our troop at this unique event.
Date: July 2 Time: 10a-3p Parade: 11a Place: Mandarin Store & Post Office – Corner Mandarin and Brady Roads
BIG THANKS to all who made the 2011 Suwannee River Trip a success! Special thanks to our River Guide Mr. Dealing and his Canoe Crew Mr. Cook, Dreher and Marcotte. Fourteen scouts experienced a great 12 mile run on the river from Lafayette Blue Springs State Park to Royal Springs Park.
A bit of rain soaked our campsite while our River Rats ran the river. This presented us with the challenge of some wet gear upon return. “Close the door on your way out” means a whole lot more when a dry sleeping bag hangs in the balance! Scouts received strong lessons in how to Be Prepared the next time.
A selection of pictures is over in the Photo Gallery and an interactive map is HERE.
In preparation for our June Court of Honor please make sure that anything needing advancement paperwork or a trip to the Scout Shop gets passed on to Mr. Garner by Monday, June 6th. That means blue cards, award certifications, board of reviews, etc. Also make sure that all are completely filled.
