Summer camp is just a few weeks away. Are you prepared? Start getting yourself ready by downloading the Summer Camp Checklist from the Downloads page.
This handy checklist has everything you need to pack for summer camp. Remember what Mr. Walsh always says – “Be Prepared! It is better to have and not need than to need and not have.”
BIG THANKS to all who made the 2011 Suwannee River Trip a success! Special thanks to our River Guide Mr. Dealing and his Canoe Crew Mr. Cook, Dreher and Marcotte. Fourteen scouts experienced a great 12 mile run on the river from Lafayette Blue Springs State Park to Royal Springs Park.
A bit of rain soaked our campsite while our River Rats ran the river. This presented us with the challenge of some wet gear upon return. “Close the door on your way out” means a whole lot more when a dry sleeping bag hangs in the balance! Scouts received strong lessons in how to Be Prepared the next time.
A selection of pictures is over in the Photo Gallery and an interactive map is HERE.
