Troop 37 (Community Presbyterian in Atlantic Beach) has one (1) slot open for an Okeefenokee canoe trip. They leave Sunday afternoon and return Wednesday evening. They will put in at Waycross on Monday morning and will do platform camping along the trip. Sounds like big fun.

March 15th, 2010 is our Court of Honor. This is the time that all awards, rank advancements, Merit Badges and any other important information are passed along.
All merit badge counselors need to fill out a new Merit Badge Application and Adult Leader Application to continue on as a counselor for CY2010.
2010 Registration fees as are due $55.
This Court of Honor is a full meal. The patrol assignments are as follows: Salad – 11-13 year olds Dinner – 14-15 year olds Dessert – 16-18 year olds The service Patrol is the Troop

- USS ALABAMA TRIP CANCELLED - - ALTERNATE PLAN AVAILABLE TO THOSE INTERESTED -
There is a severe weather alert for Pensacola area. Current reports of sleet and snow. Schools are closed. Projections are for a mix of rain, turning to snow. Projected snowfall is as much as 3″. Black ice projected for several days after snowfall. Black ice is the trip-killer here as it is a major safety issue.
- ALTERNATE PLAN - We can do a day-trip on Saturday (which should be sunny and cool) to Olustee. We can walk around the encampment and watch the battle.

Camp Blanding Trip Be prepared to discuss and sign-up for the upcoming Camp Blanding camping trip. This is trip currently scheduled for Aug 21st – 23rd.
Sea Base During summer camp many boys indicated a strong interest in attending Sea Base – a unique Scouting program in the Florida Keys. Sea Base offers unparalleled aquatics programs: sailing, scuba diving, rustic camping on an undeveloped barrier island, fishing, etc.
Prepare to discuss the possibility of going to Sea Base by visiting www.bsaseabase.org prior to the August 10th meeting.
The North Florida Council Aquatics Committee is presenting adult leader training in BSA Aquatics Supervision. The courses are for leaders and adults for water events or paddling excursions where there are no lifeguards. Cost is $15 per session.
