New Calendar Feature
Oct 1st, 2010 by Troop110

Our troop calendar now supports document attachments!!! Right about now you are probably asking yourself “Self, what does this mean to me?”

Well, this is what it means to you… Our Senior Patrol Leader creates a Meeting Plan for most of our meetings. These, and other event-related documents, can now be attached to the events on our calendar for easy access.

Want to see this in action?
Go to the calendar. Click on the Oct. 4th meeting event. An event balloon pops up with a “more details>” link. Click that and a new window opens with details and/or attachments for that event. If there is an attachment click on its’ link and a new window opens. The new window may display the document and/or give you a link (just under the document name) to download it. Just right-click to save to your computer.

Oh, there is a new category on the Downloads Page called “Meeting Plans & Notes.” Guess what you can find there?

How bout them apples? Now, aren’t you glad you read this?

Summer Camp News
Jul 27th, 2010 by Troop110

ALL IS WELL! EVERYONE IS FINE! – Mr. Walsh reports that there was bad weather Monday evening. The storm was a big one so the camp put everyone inside the Program Center Building. A few of our scouts got wet sleeping bags that were taken into town for drying. Good thing our leadership has experience (tropical storm at Woodruff four years ago) and BSA Severe Weather training.

Other than weather excitement, camp is going well. Food is the same as last year so everyone is well fed. We will give additional updates again later in the week.

You can send your scout a message by clicking here.

And keep up with weather conditions by clicking here.

Get Ready for Summer Camp

There were two Summer Camp Packing lists on the Downloads Page. These lists were recently updated and replaced with a single, comprehensive list. You can find the list on the Downloads Page or click here to download now.

These are REQUIRED prior to departure for camp. If Mr. Walsh does not have your form or you do not give it to him on Saturday, you can not go to camp. Medications MUST be in their original pharmacy-labeled packaging.

Summer Camp Notices

The second payment was due last week. The third and final payment is due now.

Scouts and adults MUST have the new Annual Medical Form completed and signed by a doctor BEFORE Summer Camp. No form, no camp for you!

ALL adult volunteers MUST complete the new Youth Protection Training. All BSA training can be found at

Scouts, Scouters and Parents – We hope you are having a great Summer Break.

A few updates were recently made to the website. The new Annual Medical, Adult Application, Scout Application and Unit Transfer forms were added. The 2010 Raven Knob Leader Guide was also added – a great resource for any and all going to camp.

The second payment was due last week. The third and final payment is due soon. Also, you MUST have the new Annual Medical Form completed and signed by a doctor BEFORE Summer Camp. No form, no camp for you!

Adults – Summer camp needs another adult and we always need more adults for weekend camping trips.

Make sure you are paid up: the ferry trip is $17 and another $12-16 depending upon age for camping.

– First payment of $75 is due May 3rd

Due to new challenges within our core group, our adult volunteer resources are running thin. A number of camping trips are planned and adult leaders are needed.
