Scouting In The Local News
March 20th, 2009 by Troop110

Listen in to National Public Radio (NPR) station 89.9 FM WJCT this SATURDAY, MARCH 21, 2009 as Senior Staff Reporter, Kevin Meerschaert of NPR interviews Chief Scout Executive, Bob Mazzuca. The Scouting segment will run in the 7:00-7:30 AM session and again during the 3:30-4:00 PM session.

During Chief Mazzuca’s visit to Jacksonville this week, he took advantage of promoting the kick-off of our local celebration of “100 Years of Scouting” and helped honor the distinguished leaders of the North Florida Council at Tuesday’s Annual Recognition Banquet. He also paid tribute to the 2008 Class of Eagle Scouts at the Rotary Club of Jacksonville Eagle Scout Luncheon on Monday. The Chief’s presence and the excitement of the newsworthy accomplishments of Boy Scouts of America, The North Florida Council spawned additional media coverage throughout the week.
